Pierce County Human Services and the Metropolitan Development Council (MDC) Community Action Programs are conducting a comprehensive assessment to identify strengths, barriers, and resources in the community to meet the needs of children, youth and families.
Thank you to the team at Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department for a marvelous United Way of Pierce County Campaign kickoff! The pie fundraising event went off with no slices left, raising over $2,000 towards the campaign.
Tacoma Public Utilities and the City of Tacoma just wrapped up their campaign with a takeover at Cheers in University Place. Rod Koon and Friends played music and the atmosphere was electric. They raised a lot of money for United Way of Pierce County! Here are a few pictures from the event.
September 25, 2023, Tacoma, Wash. — United Way of Pierce County (UWPC) proudly introduces its Campaign Co-Chairs for the 2023/2024 fundraising drive: Beth Johnson and Michael D. Griffus.
In their volunteer roles, Johnson and Griffus will spearhead workplace campaign goals, engaging with over 300 participating companies across Pierce County to garner crucial support.
August 17, 2023 – Pierce County, Wash. — Exciting news! United Way of Pierce County is now a
partner of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. Families with children aged 0-5 in Pierce County can
register to receive a free book every month until their child's fifth birthday, delivered directly
to their home.
We connect individuals and families with programs and services to help them navigate through the barriers that are preventing them from becoming self-sufficient. Instead of multiple calls, our free helpline connects people in need with trained specialists to get matched with the right services.
We mobilize and unite the caring power of Pierce County to tackle our community’s toughest challenges to improve lives in measurable and lasting ways.
