From Poverty to Possibilities is Pierce County’s signature community summit that takes on barriers to economic equity. This year's event will be held in the Pavilion at the Hotel Murano. Last year we had over 300 community leaders and community members attend.
Now in its eighth year, From Poverty to Possibilities brings the community together to disrupt poverty at its roots.
This year’s summit, while continuing to focus on deconstructing narratives with those in poverty and moving towards disrupting systems, we also want to lean into the possibilities. We ask: What if? What if where you lived didn’t dictate how well you did? What if systems and structures benefited everyone? What if everyone had a voice? What if we could create spaces for uncomfortable conversations? What if we had a more just, resilient, and equitable community? Let’s imagine the possibilities and our role to make it happen.
